INFOKU,BLORA - The
struggle of the Blora Regency Government to obtain profit sharing funds (DBH)
for oil and gas (oil and gas) from the Cepu Block will never stop. Regent Djoko Nugroho has confided about
the problem of unfairness in the Cepu Block oil and gas DBH to the President
and hopes to be summoned by Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding the Cepu Block DBH
issue.
The Regent stated that during the president's working visit to Blora last week, he had time to complain about the unfair distribution of the Cepu Block DBH.
According to him, Blora, which enters the Cepu Block area, does not get DBH from its oil production in the oil and gas field operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL). Meanwhile, other regencies in the East Java region received a share of the Cepu Block DBH. Receiving such an explanation, he said, President Jokowi nodded his head.
“I hope the president
will call me to discuss the oil and gas DBH for the Cepu Block. Because I
previously gave an explanation during a working visit in Blora,'' he said, last
Thursday (12/3).
The Regent admitted
that Blora did not get the Cepu Block DBH because it was constrained by the
prevailing laws and regulations.

The law states that oil
and gas DBH is given to oil and gas producing districts, provinces where oil
and gas producing districts are located and districts and cities that are in
the same province as oil and gas producing areas. However, he stressed
that such a provision was very unfair.
The calculation should
not be based on the mouth of the well in the area where the exploitation and
production of oil and gas is carried out. But based on the existence of
the oil and gas block.
“The area of Blora and Bojonegoro is only limited by Bengawan Solo. Parts of the
Blora and Bojonegoro areas are both included in the Cepu Block
area. Blora should get the Cepu Block oil and gas DBH as
well,'' he said.

He emphasized that the
struggle to obtain the Cepu Block oil and gas DBH was not meant to reduce the
share of oil and gas DBH that Bojonegoro received every year.
But to get a separate
share, so the concern that the Cepu Block oil and gas DBH received by
Bojonegoro will be reduced if Blora also gets DBH is unreasonable.
“I told
Bojonegoro not to worry. We only demand the right to get oil and gas DBH
Cepu Block, not reduce DBH for Bojonegoro,'' he said.
As is known, the Cepu
Block oil exploitation is currently carried out in the Bojonegoro area.
The well has produced around 40,000 barrels of oil per day from the targeted peak production of 160,000 barrels per day.

From this oil production,
Bojonegoro gets more than Rp 300 billion of oil and gas DBH from the Cepu Block
every year.
This number will increase
if the Cepu Block's peak oil production has been carried out. The Cepu
Block oil and gas DBH was also given to the East Java Provincial Government as
well as districts and cities in East Java.
Meanwhile, Blora did not get the Cepu Block oil and gas DBH at all or zero rupiah. It's just that from other oil production in the Blora area, Blora Regency in 2014 obtained a DBH of Rp 8 billion. (Endah/Agung)
